I’m currently reading Darren Rowse’s book, ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income and I absolutely love it. I checked it out from the library (which something I always do before buying) and I’ve told my family to add it to my birthday list because it’s a great reference tool.
I really like Darren’s writing style and how the book is laid out and easy to read, follow and understand. Darren started blogging as a hobby and then slowly began monetizing his blogs and then was able to quit his job and blog full time and make a very good living.
As bloggers, a lot of us want this to happen for us. Darren provides great advice for creating a successful blog. He explains how important it is to post daily and write useful, interesting content. He explains how it takes time for a blog to become successful and that it isn’t going to happen overnight and it will require a lot of work.
Darren states that when he first started blogging, he work on his blog in the evenings and two days a week. I have started to put into place some of Darren’s suggestions and I have seen an increase in my blog followers, increased traffic and subscriptions to RSS feeds.
Darren goes on to discuss the best ways to increase traffic such as posting to other blogs and forums. There is also a chapter solely dedicated on how to monetize your blog and what worked best for his blogs.
I 100% recommend this book. I read a lot of books on blogging, Internet marketing, making money with your blog and this by far has been the best yet. It is actually very rare that I sit down and read one of these types of book cover to cover. However, Darren provides such great information that I don’t want to miss out on anything. I’ll update you on how my progress goes with implementing Darren’s suggestions.
Amazon offers it or you might be able to find it at your local library.
